Kirsten Tempel is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes: Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Eastern Nutrition, Moxibustion and Cupping. She provides her clients with individualized and comprehensive care treating a variety of conditions. Traditional Chinese Medicine has an emphasis on prevention and is beneficial in the maintenance of good health despite the many demands and challenges of a busy lifestyle. More than just treating diseases, Kirsten promotes preventative health, wellness and patient empowerment. She is very committed to helping people feel their best and is passionate about her practice.
Kirsten works with women of all ages to help regulate their menstrual cycle, relieve symptoms of PMS, balance moods, restore optimal digestion, regulate hormone levels, support the fertility process and provide pregnancy support. She also treats men and women for a variety of issues including pain management, anxiety, depression, stress reduction, digestive conditions, allergies, adverse reactions to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy, insomnia, autoimmune diseases, hypertension and many other physical imbalances.
Kirsten strongly supports the integration of eastern and western medicine and is committed to helping people reach their utmost potential in physical, mental and spiritual health while respecting each individual as a unique being. She is a general practitioner treating women, men and children with a wide range of conditions utilizing a variety of healing tools including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, eastern nutrition and lifestyle counseling.
Kirsten Temple is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine- Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique and licensed in Acupuncture by the State of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She received her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine through Texas Health and Science University, American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City with a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). Kirsten received her Bachelor’s degree majoring in Human Services and Sociology and minoring in Africana Studies from The George Washington University. She is also a certified Diversity Professional and Advanced Practitioner through Cornell University’s School of Labor and Industrial Relations.
Kirsten was born and raised in New York City. Her diverse background and experiences led her to an interest in the human condition. It was while working for a renowned Acupuncturist in New York that she became interested in medicine. She observed people’s struggles with illness and pain that were helped with Chinese Medicine to restore health, happiness, balance and well-being. This experience triggered her own journey of helping people to feel their best, emotionally, physically and spiritually. In addition to her strong commitment to health and wellness, Kirsten enjoys yoga, gardening, cooking, and dancing.
